Pat McCrory's State of Emergency

State of Emergency

Like George Bush, Pat McCrory like to work from the Karl Rove playbook. Declare that everything is in crisis. Suspend the rules, brook no dissent. If things get better, declare victory. If things don't change, get credit for trying. If things get worse, blame someone else.

McCrory's recent line of response for problems in Charlotte is that as mayor he doesn't have that much power and influence because of the city council structure and the city manager's wide range responsibilities. That doesn't stop McCrory for claiming credit when things go well.
